This week Textile Center is bursting with creativity, inspiration & learning

From Textile Center’s newsletter Textiles On The Town:

This week Textile Center is bursting with creativity, inspiration, learning, and camaraderie. “Fiber Art: Creating Ties That Bind” is a celebration of fiber art, it’s a convening for fiber artists and appreciators, and it’s an opportunity for you to engage with our new National Artist Advisory Council members: Mary Giles, Carolyn Halliday, Pat Hickman, Tracy Krumm, and Dr. Carolyn Mazloomi.

Opening tonight are five exhibits. In our Studio Gallery you will find recent works by our five Artist Council members, and in the Joan Mondale Gallery we present “Commemorating His Purple Reigh: A Textural Tribute to Prince.” Press coverage highlights include:

New exhibit will be coziest Prince tribute yet (St. Paul Pioneer Press – March 2, 2017)

A cheeky new revelation about one of Prince’s most notorious stage outfits (St. Paul Pioneer Press – Feb. 27, 2017

Guillermo del Toro’s monsters at Mia; Prince quilts coming to the Textile Center (MinnPost – March 7, 2017)

The Prince quilt exhibit will be up through April 29, and you can provide a great service to Textile Center by sharing on social media. Our tags are ——–
